Annual strategy meeting in Nagarkot (25-26 February 2011)
The alliance for peace and development Nepal (APDN) organized its annual strategic meeting on 25-26 February 2011 at Nagarkot, Bhaktapur. The two days strategic meeting was held in the presence of 18 members of executive body and operational division of APDN. The program was started with the welcome speech by Dr.Govind P. Koirala (Director,APDN) followed by Mr.Kumar Adhikari (Chairman,APDN) with the welcome note, briefing about meeting agendas and overall 1 year progress reporting of organization. The officers and coordinators of different sections and projects presented annual progress report on respective activities on dissemination, constitution making support program, UN natural resource studies, IT websites and others. Organizational structure along with organization’s vision, mission and objectives were redefined. The content and design for the website were finalized. The most important part of the meeting was organization’s SWOT Analysis which was used for redefining 5 years strategic plan that also includes fund raising, network building, organization sustainability etc. The meeting also ratified to enhance the 5 year master plan with the changed political scenario. It also focused on exploring new research areas. Building up of documentation centre was also an outcome of the meeting. Overall the meeting held in Nagarkot was very fruitful and ended with very significant outcomes.
Strategy Planning Meeting in Nagarkot (Feb.19-20, 2010)
The Alliance for Peace and Development Nepal (APDN) conducted a two day strategy planning meeting in Nargarkot, on 19-20 February 2010. The strategy was constructed by the members who shared their views to strengthen the organization’s strategy plan. The Chairperson Mr. Kumar Adhikari, remarked in country’s undercurrent situation and rationale of the organization’s intervention in the areas of country’s lasting peace and democracy building process.
Rapport Building
APDN has been launching series of dialogues with senior and younger politicians, subject matter experts and members of CA to inform them about organizations’ mission, current and planned activities for contributing in the country’s peace, development and democracy building process. Through these events, APDN has made close connection with political parties and identity groups. Furthermore, APDN has been getting valuable inputs and ideas to develop further realistic programs.
