Nepal's ongoing peace and constitution making process have been derailed by some internal and external elements of the CA which are interlinked each other. Core issues of Nepal's peace process can be enlisted as; 1) lack of consensus among the political parties on model of federalism and federalization process in the light of uncompromisable democratic principles,2) neglect of newly emerging regional ethno-centric forces who are raising the issues of identity and reorganization in the proposed federal set up, and 3) lack of awareness among significant chunk of Nepalese people about the contents and process of the new federal constitution.

On this backdrop, this program aims to intervene fittingly and simultaneously on the aforementioned shorter term issues of critical importance. It is believed that such agenda of peace, democracy and federalization process can be accomplished through a series of pro-active initiatives.

The goal of the program is to contribute to achieving consensus building, strengthening democratization process in the country to build New Nepal with an appropriate federal set up in the light of multi-cultural characters. The specific objectives of the program will be as follows:

To assist the country's policy makers, subject matter experts, senior and younger political leaders to forge consensus on country’s prime issues discussed  earlier.

To reach to the region based stakeholders, particularly the new identity groups who are not represented  in the CA, in the regional fringes and establish two-way communication with them, and

To disseminate all precious information to the commoners through mobilizing strong media campaign for creating a situation where the voices of the concerned groups are heard and appreciated by the policy makers and experts.
