In various occasions, people have raised their concern over their identity, recognition, security, service delivery, basic fundamental rights, livelihood, democratic principles, state structure and issues of human rights and so on.  Despite the fact that those people expressed their views, they do not feel secure unless their views and concerns find a due place within the new constitution. People particularly from Ethnic minorities, Dalits, Madhesis, Muslim, Poor and Women, are still eager and waiting for a drafting process of constitution, its nature and if the new constitution is incorporating their concerns. In fact, all aforementioned groups want to be assured that their agenda and sentiments are rightfully incorporated in the new constitution.

Regarding this matter, without launching series of discussions among the groups, trust and feeling of ownership of the new constitution will be a distant reality. The people will lose their respect for newly drafted constitution that will in the long run disrupt nation's peaceful transformation.  In those circumstances, not only the relevance of CA but also the people's desire for lasting peace will be in a state of wanting. This should be sufficient to justify why there is an urgent need to launch a series of community dialogue among the diverse groups of community people throughout the country.

Despite having some positive developments in the country, there are some crucial issues which are urgently needed to be responded in two ways as follows:

Immediate action need to be taken to manage country's transitional situation addressing country's law and order situation, impunity, violations of human rights, fundamental freedom and so on.

Developing common framework for new democratic and inclusive constitution as per  people's will particularly those of marginalized and disadvantaged groups. In addition, state restructuring issue with right of self determination is much crucial.

Because of misunderstanding among political forces, above mentioned points are going into the oblivion. If the country is going to opt for new and prosperous Nepal it is imperative to strike good understanding and cooperation among all political and identity based forces in the country. Furthermore, it is equally important to render people aware regarding their role in peace and constitution making process.

Therefore, there should be some initiatives to sensitize politicians, policy makers, experts, identity groups, media and CSO members so that it could create ample space for political understanding to address aforementioned issues. In this respect, community people's aspirations and feedbacks in on-going peace and constitution making process need to be documented which can exert strong pressure to politicians, policy makers and experts.
